Three-Car Accident

South Elgin and Elgin Firefighters use the jaws of life at the scene of a three-car accident with injuries on Randall Rd. south of the intersection with Hopps Rd. in Elgin, Ill. on Monday, June 15, 2009. The accident which occurred at approximately 8:30PM involved three cars and at least one occupant required extraction by the jaws of life. The accident resulted in the closing of both north and southbound traffic on Randall Rd. South Elgin police would not comment on the accident as it is currently under investigation.

Trash Flags
Trash collector Jeff Olsen makes a daily habit of looking for American flags in trash bins. "You can't throw out a national symbol," he says.
