Trash Flags

Trash collector Jeff Olsen makes a daily habit of looking for American flags in trash bins. "You can't throw out a national symbol," he says. Plote Construction Fire

Firefighters battle a reported tire fire on property owned by Plote Construction off of Brandt Drive in Hoffman Estates, Ill. on Saturday, April 11, 2009. The fire, which produced smoke visible from miles away, broke out around 3 p.m. and was mostly contained within the hour.
