Finally had a chance to test the high-ISO on my new 1D Mark IV. This gym was incredibly dark, and wasn't set up in a way that would make strobing reasonable.
Shot info:
ISO: 8000
Aperture: 2.8
Shutter: 1/500

So..... what you think?! Looks good web-size.
I'm impressed. I'd say, depending on the situation is 1 to 1.5 stops better than my 1D3 in terms of noise. AF is a step up for sure, which is saying a lot since I was very happy with my specific 1D3.
Wow, that's one heck of an improvement! Good to hear. Moving gear around now to try and get a Mark III once I get my tax return!
I must say, I wish it had fewer pixels. The 16mp is just overkill, For newspaper work I've only been shooting it at JPEG M1 which is down-res'd to about 12MP.
However, I must say the RAW files this body puts out are fantastic.
